This is one of the few places on my site where I exhibit a stationery entire instead of a postal card. Since until recently the Government Printing Office (GPO) printed all postal cards, I think it is appropriate to include this very elaborate and beautiful entire used for the official business of the Public Printer.
This entire is GPO form 32, printed in October 1907 with an edition of 10,000. The envelope is cancelled January 4, 1908.
This has to be one of the most elaborate
penalty clause vignettes ever created for any kind of official piece of stationery!
The back also exhibits the finely detailed logo
of the Public Printer.
