RCA (Radio Corporation of America) was a big GE competitor during this period for the Vaccuum Tube TV Repair business. This card looks to have been sent directly to RCA customers perhaps having purchased a TV or Radio in the recent past from that manufacturer. The "8-54" revision date on the back of the card would indicate that this advertisement was in use for at least a ten-year period. This particular card is cancelled June 2, 1964.
Here is an earlier advertisement for RCA tubes on the back of an unused UX27 card, probably from the very early fifties.Place mouse on image to see the reverse side of the card.
Click on this Link to see another similar advertisement of the time with reference to another one of GE's direct competitors. Here is still another card by an independent repair outfit, but still in keeping with the comical advertising theme of the period.
