This card was carried on the first flight of the LZ-127 Zeppelin on its return flight to Germany. Unlike many of the later flights where special stamps rendered it impossible to avoid overpaying the proper card rate (without the special stamps), this card pays a penny toward the 53 cent total fee.
I just love the message on the reverse side of the card, especially as one reflects on the ultimate fate of many of these great airships!
